If your are not behind in your mortgage, and spouse and your self are unemployed can you get help to prevent missing your payment and wind up in foreclosure?

You are one a the few I would really tell to call your current lender. I say that because it is a hard road they will keep you on hold and hang up on you and make you gather document and on and on but if keep your home means that much to you then you will have to tell your lender that you want to keep your home and work out some type of repayment you can afford while you are unemployed. All programs are going to make you show how you can afford to repay the loan and unemployment is beeing discussed now due to GM employees but I don't know if it will work. The current lender doesn't want your home and they are your best bet! You could also go thru the Hope counseling 888-995-hope. (That is the only part of the program that is accually working)Good Luck!!!
